JACQUI DOYLE

If you’re new to yoga or looking to build more confidence in your practice, this gentle 6-week course is the perfect place to begin. Each week we’ll explore the foundations of key yoga poses, focusing on alignment, breath awareness, and how to move in a way that feels good for your body. As the weeks go on, we’ll gradually begin to bring the poses together into a gentle flow, helping you feel more comfortable, connected, and confident on the mat.

Hello I'm Vicky. I am a certified Crystal Healer, accredited by the Affiliation of Crystal Healing Organisations. Crystals have captivated me for as long as I can remember; my journey began with a rose quartz I purchased as a teenager, drawn to its loving, calming & heart healing properties. When I first met Sue Weaver at her remarkable Crystal Barn in Cornwall, I felt an undeniable pull to trust my instincts and learn under her guidance & with her support. Throughout my two-year part-time diploma, I developed deep connections with the crystals we studied & take great joy in sharing their unique energies with my clients to help restore balance & bring them back into alignment.

I'm Katie Furler, the face of Devon Roots Yoga. It is an honour to share the ancient wisdom of Yoga with you. 

 My aim is to create friendly and down to earth Yoga classes for people to enjoy. These are steady paced Hatha Yoga sessions. There is balance between strength building work and more restorative postures. All classes are mixed ability, beginners are encouraged to join us! 

​I am passionate about the holistic health rewards of a regular Yoga practice. We are seeing more scientific research to back up these wonderful wellbeing claims. It is exciting to see the world of spirituality joining forces with science, a big step in our evolution I feel.

​Creating Yoga that is enjoyable and accessible to as many people as possible is important to me.  My invitation is to move our bodies and calm our minds in a safe and nourishing space. Practising together in this way feels essential to our health and vitality, in a life full of twists and turns.

Hi I'm Kara,

I began practicing yoga and meditation in my twenties. I trained in journalism and worked in television for many years in London and the West Country. Showbusiness was fun but superficial and I was pulled to explore spirituality further. A 10-day shamanic journey in Peru in 2001 shifted my frequency and opened a new timeline and I retrained in the holistic world. Since then, I have been a ‘wayshower’ for hundreds of children and adults through my healing and teaching work in schools and privately.

I’m an intuitive healer, sound therapist, Usui Reiki Master, qualified yoga teacher and a trained mindfulness & meditation teacher. I host a weekly meditation group, monthly soundbaths, retreats, workshops and one-to-one healing treatments.

Sound healing with gongs is a powerful practice where we are offered the opportunity to heal, gain balance & achieve harmony through the sound & vibration of powerful healing instruments. The sense of relaxation that is often achieved by sound healing is a result of activating the parasympathetic nervous system. In addition to our heart rate and brain waves slowing down, we can also expand our consciousness to a higher level. This can help us to release trapped emotion or stale energy, promoting healing & creating a sense of equanimity & balance. Ultimately, sound healing can assist us in connecting with our soul self – the part of us that is all knowing, grounded & connected to a higher sense of consciousness. 

 

Lau is a Gong Practitioner registered with The College of Sound Healing & trained under the guidance of the world renowned Gong Practitioner, Sheila Whittaker. Lau is also an Arts Psychotherapist (HCPC registered) & so you can be reassured that the sound healing space Lau holds is always trauma-informed, person-centred & therapeutic in nature. 

 

Lau's gong baths are predominantly graced by large gongs, all with their own unique frequency & healing abilities. Throughout the sessions, the gongs are also supported by a cast of other sacred instruments including the hand-pan, singing bowls, bells, chimes, the shruti box, drums and more.

ANNE HARRISON

For Yoga, you will find my classes informal, friendly and welcoming. Through studying and teaching yoga I’ve enjoyed learning about different people’s individual and unique yoga practices and what their version of yoga brings to them.

I love supporting people in their yoga journey and creating space for people to develop their practice. In my classes you will find space to grow and explore your practice, find magic in the simplest of stretch’s and build towards postures that may have seemed daunting or inaccessible in the past.

I use a mixture of styles and props, alongside breathing techniques and an accessible range of levels for key postures. 

As a nutritional therapist I will explore your health with you and put together a programme of food supplements and dietary recommendations, tailored towards you as an individual, to help you move forward with health goals or manage a health condition. These will form sustainable habits that can last a lifetime.

I am also a Wellbeing Coach which helps to facilitate improvements in a way best suited to the individual. Coaching helps a person build awareness of how they would like to change, and empower them to make the best choices that lead to a sustainable change.

MAGDALENA MAZUREK

Hi, I am Magdalena, a Certified Hatha Yoga Teacher and the heart behind Tension Release Yoga. My journey into yoga began as a deeply personal exploration-an anchor through life's many transitions, and the way to stay connected to what truly matters. As a single parent and a long time caregiver supporting the elderly through their golden years, I have come to see Yoga not just as a physical practice, but as a lifeline for the body mind and spirit.

My classes are rooted in traditional Hatha Yoga, when breath and movement becomes a sacred dialogue. I teach how to link diaphragm natural rhythm with mindful movement, while gently awakening awareness of the pranic body-the subtle energy realm of chakras, lifeforce and kundalini. I use quotes from indian scriptures like "Patanjali Yoga Sutras" and "Hatha Yoga Pradipika" and put them into practice. Exploring themes of mind, Ego, Consciousness and Meditation. I aim to guide students into a deeper connection with themselves and the world around them. 

I also offer breath-work and wellness classes designed to calm the nervous system and soothe anxiety, and create a space for stored emotions to gently release. These sessions combine ancient yogic breath practices, mindfulness, reflexology, and verbal body scan to help you feel safe, grounded and present.

At the core of my work is the desire to cultivate genuine, meaningful connection-with yourself, others, everything around you and therefore live a more peaceful life. Whether you're seeking physical release, emotional healing, or spiritual clarity, I welcome you to a space of compassion,exploration and growth.

CLAIRE NAISBY

I encourage students to tune into their bodies, move with awareness, and build the kind of nervous system that can weather life’s storms and still rest deeply. I’m currently focusing on teaching pregnancy yoga, offering movement, breathwork, and rest to meet the shifts of this transformative phase of life.

 

With seven years’ teaching experience, I also offer embodied flow, rocket, yin, restorative, meditation, and shake the dust classes. My classes invite curiosity, embodied enquiry, and an appreciation for how good it can feel to be still. I hold space that’s warm, grounding, and welcoming of whatever you bring to the mat.

CHARLIE NASH

Charlie was drawn to Ashtanga as a strength and flexibility focused yoga style to maintain a strong healthy body to keep life playful. Working with the breath throughout the practice maintains balance in the nervous system to support emotional and mental wellbeing. Charlie’s classes are fun and informal incorporating elements of her Hatha and Yin training along with Ashtanga. 

Charlie loves to share the things that enrich her life so promotes yoga for all working with modifications and props used to make postures accessible for everyone.

Charlie teaches a weekly Ashtanga class & monthly Yin class - the perfect balance of Yin & Yang.

NANCY OSBORNE

Nancy is a chartered physiotherapist and has been teaching yoga and pilates for 16 years . Originally trianed in Sivinanda yoga, Nancy incorporates a blend of all of her own practcies and experiances into her teaching thorugh hatha, ashtanga,vinyasana flow,  anusara, yin and womb yoga. She knows how to keep you safe when entering in and out and holding of poses.

Nancy runs a monthly Sunday evening yoga class around the full moon which consists of a slow gentle and grounding yoga flow with some held postures and added massage to deepen your experience into relaxation and letting go.

DEV RANDEEP

The use of mantra or ‘Naad yoga’ is an integral part of Kundalini yoga. This focuses the mind and its vibrations resonate deeply within the body, helping to unblock stored emotions and strengthen the circulation of energy through the body. Naad Yoga and the use of primal sound are very efficient at clarifying the mind and optimising the ability to reach a state of meditation.
